About the opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an Early Intervention & Families Support Worker to join the Harrison the team on a permanent, full time basis. The position will be based from our Mount Waverley office, working within Harrison's Finding Solutions and Adolescent Support programs.

 

Reporting to the Team Leader of Youth Homelessness and Adolescent Support Services, this role is responsible for:

  • Providing case management and creative outreach responses to young people and families
  • Undertaking risk assessments to determine client support needs
  • Providing young people and families with support to enable a sustainable living environment
  • Working with families to develop and coordinate action plans to address client needs and achieve goals
  • Encouraging positive relationships by supporting families through mediation and decision making
  • Using creativity and innovation to engage clients that are reluctant to accept support 
  • Building rapport and working with strengths

About you

To be successful in your application you will meet the Person Specification in the Position Description attached, including having a relevant tertiary qualification in a Youth or Community Services related field.  Qualification needs to be Certificate IV or above.
