About the opportunity

We have a rewarding opportunity for a Clinician - with training as either a Psychologist, Social Worker, Therapist or Counsellor, to join our Clinical Services program. The role provides specialist outreach psychological services to carers, children and young people who are unable to live with their birth parents.  The role of the Clinician is to:

  • Support and educate carers to increase their understanding of the child/young persons’ experience of trauma, with the aim being to increase the child/young person’s social, emotional, behavioural and developmental functioning.
  • Provide carers individualised education regarding the child and their presentation/behaviour.
  • Observe the child/young person and their interactions with their carer/s in their home environment.

About you

To be successful in your application you will meet the person specification in the position description, including having a relevant tertiary qualification in a Psychology or Social Work related field.  A driver licence valid in Victoria, and a willingness to drive agency vehicles for work purposes is also required.
