About the opportunity

We have a rare and exciting opportunity for a Case Worker to join our Adoption and Permanent Care team.   The position is full time, ongoing, and is based in Windsor (Melbourne).  

 

In a typical week, a Case Worker – Adoption and Permanent Care, might:

  • Respond urgently to provide relinquishment counselling
  • Recruit, assess and train applicant carer families
  • Facilitate child linking and transition processes for placement
  • Supervise and support families and children in placement
  • Provide information and counselling to a person who has been affected by an adoption managed by an agency that has been incorporated into Connections
  • Finalise case notes and prepare a report for other agencies that you are working with on a complex case
  • Discuss a difficult case with your team members in a Reflective Practice meeting

About you

To be successful in your application you will meet the key selection criteria in the position description, including having a relevant tertiary qualification in a field related to Social Work or Psychology.
