About the opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Family Support Worker to join our School Attendance Support Program on a permanent, part time basis.  The role is based in Pakenham.

 

The School Attendance Support Program (SASP) is an innovative project, in government primary schools in the Shire of Cardinia and Cranbourne, to address school attendance issues.

 

Reporting to the Educational Support Services Team Leader, this role is responsible for:

  • Working collaboratively with a number of primary schools in the Shire of Cardinia and Cranbourne
  • Identify and engage ‘at risk’ students with significant school attendance issues
  • Referrals provided to engage students and their families and assist in improving school attendance
  • Explore barriers to regular school attendance and develop strategies to overcome these

About you

To be successful in your application you will meet the Person Specification in the Position Description, including having a relevant tertiary qualification in a Social Work, Education or a related field.
