About the opportunity

The Kindergarten Inclusion Specialist Consultancy Support service aims to assist early childhood teachers in a funded kindergarten program to:

  • Implement previously identified adaptations and modifications
  • Plan a program that responds to newly identified learning and development needs of all children
  • Support all children to access and meaningfully participate in all aspects of the program
  • Implement a team approach to support inclusion of all children
  • Respectfully engage with families and respond to families’ concerns
  • Link with and collaborate with other professionals

The level and type of support offered will be informed by consultation and collaboration with the early childhood teachers


About you

To be successful in your application you will meet the key selection criteria in the position description attached, including having a relevant tertiary qualification in Early Childhood, Special Education or related field.

  • Summarise your tertiary level qualifications in Early Childhood and/or Special Education
  • Provide examples of how you have applied the VEYLDF practice principles
  • List some of the barriers to inclusion in kindergarten settings that you have dealt with
  • Describe solutions you  have been able to implement that have supported inclusion related to some of these barriers
  • Provide examples of how you have built and sustained professional partnerships with early childhood teachers.
