We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Case Worker– Family Violence to join our Inner East Integrated Family Services program, based in Blackburn.  The position is part time, maximum term for two years.  


Connections provides Integrated Family Services (IFS) from two locations in the Eastern Region, Croydon and Blackburn, offering services to the Local Government Areas of Monash, Whitehorse, Manningham and Booroondara. 


The IFS program aims to support families who are experiencing difficulties that impact on their parenting and family life.  IFS promotes the safety, stability and development of vulnerable children, young people and their families.


The Senior Case Worker – Family Violence position will work in collaboration with a range of services to provide innovative and diverse approaches to ensure best outcomes for vulnerable children, young people and families impacted by family violence.  In consultation with the Inner East IFS Team Leader and Child FIRST Team Leader the position will provide a range of services, including direct case management, assistance with the management of family violence referrals and consultation with police.

To be successful in your application you will meet the Key Selection Criteria in the Position Description, including having a relevant tertiary qualification in a Social Work or Psychology related field.

  • Summarise your knowledge and use of the Child Youth and Families Act 2005 and Best Interest Principles
  • Describe your experience of working in the family violence service system

  • Describe your ability to work independently and develop collaborative relationships with other key stakeholders to improve outcomes for children and families.
