    About the opportunity

    We have an opportunity for a Clinical Specialist with experience in psychology or social work fields to join our Family Preservation and Reunification program. The position is permanent full time, based at our Dandenong office.


    The Clinical Specialist will:

    • Undertake therapeutic assessments of children & families using a range of theoretical approaches
    • Develop therapeutic plans for children & their carers/families
    • Develop parenting/carer strategies that will support strengthening and stabilising of the family
    • Work collaboratively with Child Protection, Keeping Connected Sibling Support alliance and external stakeholders to promote the preservation or reunification of sibling groups


    About you

    To be successful in your application you will have:

    • A tertiary qualification in a field related to social work, psychology, community or human services
    • Knowledge and experience within the out of home care, family preservation and reunification sector
    • Demonstrated experience in developing therapeutic treatment or support plans for children and families
    • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with a range of key stakeholders
    • Precise and systematic data and outcome collection, and subsequent submission in line with program deliverables
    • Experience working with DHHS Child Protection directly or in a community services setting would be beneficial
