About the opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and passionate maintenance administration professional with experience in general property management to apply their skills in the community sector with crisis and social housing.

 

The position is full time, with regular hours - 9:00am to 5:06pm.  The role is maximum term for 12 months, with options for extension or transfer to other Uniting programs.   The position will be based at the new Uniting office in Mount Waverley from August 2018.  You may start work at the current Harrison office in Wantirna South before the move.

 

You will enjoy interacting positively and calmly with people from all walks of life, and be able to communicate clearly by phone and face to face with people from different language backgrounds.

 

The Maintenance Administrator’s busy day will include:

  • Responsively interacting with clients, contractors and other stake holders over the phone
  • Logging maintenance requests on Chintaro, ensuring they are actioned in a timely manner
  • Completing purchase orders for all tasks, ensuring compliance with the agency’s purchasing procedures
  • Processing invoices accurately and follow up on any apparent discrepancies
  • Consistently maintaining property maintenance files and tenant documents
  • Providing administrative and project support to the Senior Manager, Housing Service

About you

To be successful in your application you will meet the person specification in the position description.  Qualifications in Administration or a related field would be an advantage.
